DOĞA SCHOOLS

Doğa Schools got their start at the Beykoz Campus in 2002 as a 100-student school founded with the dream that education was something that happened not between four walls but with freedom and joy in the heart of nature, that children could learn by observing, experiencing and having fun, that going to school should be a source of happiness not stress. Developed based on the example of nature itself, the "Doğa Concept Model of Education", which resembles no other in the world, proved over time that it made a meaningful difference.

Breaking down the conventions of classical, rote learning, Doğa and its international vision brought numerous innovations to the Turkish educational system, including original and modern models of education, world-class educational technologies, academic and athletic success and concept schools.

"Doğa Schools are ushering in the Golden Age of education in Turkey"

From the very beginning, the objective of Doğa Schools was to establish an educational system in which children learn freely and by doing, to equip children for life, to ensure their happiness and help them grow into good people. Supporting this educational philosophy with technology and modern infrastructure increased social and athletic opportunities. By breaking down the conventions of classical rote learning, Doğa systematized an approach of "learning based on doing, experiencing and observing," helping its students achieve a truly impressive record of academic success.

Our students became, and remain, individuals who are being prepared for life not only in academic terms but also with athletics, art and social events. At Doğa Schools, an educational philosophy was created by taking the Beykoz Campus as a model: The "Doğa Concept Model of Education." Taking this model one step further, in middle school in addition to the basic course work, all campuses have adopted the SOES application, which is designed to make our students citizens of the world.

At the high school level, this model is reinforced with the t-MBA program. In other words, a university MBA program adapted to high school standards. The t-MBA Educational Model, which is approved by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and offered only at Doğa Schools, means that, in addition to being prepared for life in academic, social, artistic and athletic terms, our students are also learning about the business world and career paths.

Doğa Schools have shown that technology is also a part of education, and Smart Boards, which Doğa was the first to introduce to Turkey have, when combined with iPads and Mac Minis become a true educational revolution. At Doğa Schools, with Smart Boards and the Digital Classroom application found in all our classrooms, nature combined with technology, and we ensure that students make the most of these opportunities. Doğa Schools further strengthen their technological infrastructure every year and, based on an evaluation of 3,500 educational institutions by Promethean, one of the world's largest suppliers of educational technology, were recognized as a "Center of Excellence" a distinction accorded to organizations that make the most effective use of technology.

Doğa Schools moved its vision of education onto an international platform with the opening of a campus in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and in the 2008 - 2009 academic year, the Acarkent Gifted and Talented Primary School was opened with the objective of helping gifted students, who have traditionally been under-served in Turkey make the most of their capacity and talents by offering a balanced and enriched curriculum prepared by experts.

Through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program offered at the Acarkent Campus, Doğa Schools has set itself the mission of promoting intercultural understanding and respect by developing inquisitive, informed and interested young people who will help to create a better and more peaceful world. With their young, dynamic and innovative educational staff, Doğa Schools are engaged in strategic partnerships with the world's top educational organizations including Promethean, Apple, Pearson Longman and GEMS International Schools, staying abreast of the latest educational techniques and international standards. Doğa Schools have changed the face of the Turkish educational system and succeeded in becoming Turkey's leading educational institution by launching an innovative educational movement.
